A Baked Goods Guide to Storing CBD Oil at Home

Did you know that we need to be cognizant of how we store CBD oils at home?

Storing CBD oil is not difficult, however, it’s critical for retaining freshness and family safety. CBD oil and related products should be kept out of reach from children. And although CBD is safe for cats and dogs, pet dosing is not equivalent to human dosages, and some carrier oils can be harmful to animals.

The following Baked Goods CBD tips can help you with storing CBD oil in your home:

  • Keep CBD oil out of the sunlight. Otherwise, the sun can disintegrate cannabinoids in the oil (i.e. CBD, CBN, CBG).
  • Make sure the lid is secured tightly. When the oil has too much exposure to air, it can lower the strength of your CBD oil.
  • Keep CBD oil in a cool (and dry) location. Make sure it’s not in a place where the temperature changes.
  • Lock it away so that kids, teens, and pets cannot have access. For example, put a combination lock on a cabinet door.
  • If you’re on the go, do not store CBD oil in your car. If your car gets too hot or too cold, this can hinder the oil’s potency or promote degradation. Baked Goods has other alternatives to oils if you need a quick CBD pick-me-up – contact us for more info.
